You started with enthusiasm. You work out of your home. You strive to train, be on calls and webinars, and to set goals. You write goals and work your plan. Eagerly checking your in-box. Now you realize you’re spending way too much time going through emails and you are spending too much money on expensive and/or inexpensive training programs, etc. You have quite a few memberships adding up to more money going out than you are truly reaping the benefits from. You may have purchased a training for only $20 and another for $297, but you don’t have time to even look through them. Here is a way to prevent this from happening or if it’s too late here is a way to regroup.
#1 After you have decided what company you are going to go with. Do not make purchases without seeking advise from your upline. Follow the system. Systems don’t fail, people do.
#2 Beware and be aware that, even if a product may be good for your business, it won’t do you or your business any good if you don’t have the time to use it.
#3 Set up a real budget. Figure out what you can afford and designate a dollar amount or percent to each category. Advertising, training, events, etc.
#4 Limit your email time. Emails can be a real time stealer.
#5 Limit your social media time. Half an hour a day is good. Twittering should be done consistently all day. If you need more information on that; simply ask me.
#6 Limit any and all memberships, especially those that cost money. Example: Aweber is an auto-responder company and necessary for responding to leads but you may not have time or need a membership to a company that provides a newsletter, community, or training if you are not ready or do not have the time you need to wait. Delay.
#7 Delete and unsubscribe to all of the overwhelming, promising, amazing training programs. They will tell it is the last chance to get it or you’ll pay more or be the first of the now exclusive group and change the face of the internet. Hogwash! Spending money on anything you do not have the time for is a waste. Delay.
#8 Concentrate on the training your company has. Do what other successful people in your company do.
#9 Work on personal growth. If all else fails it will develop you more as a leader and guide you toward becoming a true entrepreneur. 30 minutes a day, reading and/or listening to audio tapes.
Expect that you will have times you will fail. Then get back up. No excuses, it is just part of the journey on the road to freedom.
