After homeschooling and raising nine kids for close to thirty years, our lives were changed, forever. My husband left and we were on our own. I could no longer work three jobs and teach. I was numb. I was scared. I would do anything for my children, so I went back to school and worked. Then I met and married a sweet man and we started our lives together. Still I desired to be there for my kids. To provide for them. Four still live at home. I tried traditional and non-traditional jobs. I searched for a business from home that would allow me to really be home and make a living that would enable me to take care of my children. To give them security. I desired to thrive not just survive. I found it. Now I create my life on my terms selling an amazing line of financial, and soon nutritional products, while assisting others to do the same . A Class B licensed limousine driver, who loves to drive, bake, sew, cross-stitch, laugh, read, write, learn, target shoot, fish, sports, cars, and fitness.I have worked as a midwives assistant, a childbirth educator, was the co-founder of CALM ( the Consumer Advocates for the Legalization of Midwifery) which lead the way to midwives being legal in California in the early ’90′s. I homeschooled for nineteen years, I have worked in most aspects of the restaurant industry from busing tables to Asst. Manager as well as a catering. I am certified in food and beverage management, as a barista, and as a seamstress. Basically–I love life and people. I live my life with integrity and give the best I have to offer to everything I do.All of this is nothing to joy of being the mother of my nine beautiful children, having a loving husband, and my relationship with Jesus Christ.

Thank you James. I love what I do. Being a mom of nine with 5 still at home and working from my home works well for me. Please feel free to ask questions or leave comments. I am also on Facebook, Twitter, YourNight (which is new), and LinkedIn. Best to you. Sincerely, Jo

I am the CFO for a commercial real estate firm in Indianapolis, Indiana and I would love to get your feedback on the book that Scott Willy and I recently self-published, Three Cups, which teaches children how to save, spend and give charitably to their communities. We continue to receive emails from parents and grandparents who have obtained the book and have started the program with their children and grandchildren. Given the difficult times our country is facing, I even have parents who say they are starting the program for themselves. The book and program are based upon the allowance system my wife and I have used successfully for the past 16 years.
You can view the book from our website http://www.3cupsbook.com . The website has a video that does a good job of showing you some of the pages of the book. We also have received an award from a grandparent’s website: http://grandkidsgiftguide.com/age/5-7-years-old/three-cheers-for-three-cups-a-childrens-book-about-saving-spending-being-charitable/ .
We have had many wonderful articles about the book you can view at: http://www.3cupsbook.com/press . The book is also now in national distribution and is being carried by Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million and we were just featured in a Hallmark Holiday Catalog. You can see it on Amazon at the following link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0979456304/ref=s9_simz_gw_s0_p14_t1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0VEQM6H0M8FSBHJR1KJS&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846
I would love to discuss our book with you and see if you would have an interest in doing a review on it for your followers or using it to promote your organization’s efforts. I appreciate your thoughts and how we might work together to promote financial literacy. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our children. Thanks for your consideration.
Best Wishes,
Tony
Tony, I enjoyed your book and appreciate your sending me a copy to read and review. As mother of nine I am in complete agreement with your teaching the save, spend, and charitable money concept. I am honored to write a review. Jo
woot, thank you! I’ve finally came across a website where the owner knows what they’re talking about. You know how many results are in Google when I check.. too many! It’s so annoying having to go from page after page after page, wasting my day away with tons of owners just copying eachother’s articles… ugh. Anyway, thankyou for the information anyway, much appreciated.
Yes I know how hard is to find just what resonates…..Yes, it is all my work. Let me know if there is any subject that you are seeking information on. Sincerely.
I love your blog sis!
Glad you found me.
LOL…that was a fast reply! Genius and beauty runs in the family no?
Genius, is Florence telling you that story too?
I would like to thank you for the efforts you have made in writing this post. I am hoping the same best work from you in the future as well. In fact your creative writing abilities has inspired me to start my own BlogEngine blog now.
Merna, Thank you for your kind comments last November. I wanted to take a moment to find out how your BlogEngine blog is coming? Talk soon, Jo
The very core of your writing whilst sounding agreeable originally, did not really settle well with me after some time. Somewhere throughout the sentences you were able to make me a believer but only for a short while. I however have a problem with your jumps in logic and you would do nicely to help fill in those gaps. In the event that you can accomplish that, I would undoubtedly be fascinated.
Appreciating the dedication you put into your site and in depth information you provide. It’s good to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same outdated rehashed material. Great read! I’ve bookmarked your site and I’m adding your RSS feeds to my Google account.
Hi Jo,
I really like your blog, it is a great one.
I hear about you and I am happy for you.
Hugs, Tracey
